Nightmare Before Christmas - Tim Burton Weekend!

This weekend was fabulous. I feel like I say that every weekend though. My life is just too awesome. haha! jk.
Saturday, I got some chores done, and Sean and I met up with Christa and Greg in the afternoon. They brought their puppy Rook over to go for a walk on the wetlands. I was hoping if Daisy and Pnut met Rook when she was still a puppy they could be friends (Daisy is very particular who she chooses as friends and she likes puppies). They were cool for the most part but every once in awhile Daisy would run over and try to bite Rook's neck. She's so psycho. I just don't know anymore. But, we had a nice walk and the dogs enjoyed it.
After, we went to Lazy Dog Cafe where you can sit with your puppies on the patio. We brought Rook but left my fuzzies at home. They would've just wanted to sit in my lap the whole time. Here is a family picture of them at dinner. Look how funny Rook looks. You can hardly see her she blends in so well...
Sunday, we decided to go up to Hollywood to check out some of the Tim Burton exhibits that are going on. I hadn't seen Nightmare Before Christmas in ages and noticed that they had a 4D showing at the El Capitan Theater  (http://elcapitan.go.com/). I wasn't sure what 4D meant but it sounded cool. It ended up totally blowing my mind. Not only are you wearing 3D glasses and the movie is in 3D but they had a small set on side stages, lights, fog machines and at the end of the movie, THEY MADE IT SNOW! It was so awesome. I wish I could take Kaelyn to something like that some day. I was having so much fun. It would be so cool to see her experience that.
They even had some pieces from the original claymation artwork in the basement of the theater.

I used my Instagram app to make that look retro and artistic.

El Capitan Theater is right across the Kodak Theater and Grauman's Chinese Theater so we decided to crusie over there too and check it out. I haven't been there in a long time (probably 2005ish). I put my hands in Marilyn's. Her hands were a little smaller than mine.

I took a couple tourist shots and edited them with Instagram. I really like how they turned out. It was fun being down there and checking it out.

We then ate at Scooby's Hot Dogs on Hollywood Blvd before heading over to the LACMA where they have a huge Tim Burton exhibit going on. Sadly, they had just sold out of tickets moments before we arrived so we couldn't go. It ends on November 1st so we are trying to figure out a time to get back up there. We ended up walking around the La Brea Tar Pits which are next door, and walked through their gardens. Here are some pictures we took while we were there.

He adores me. heehee.

It was so funny. While we were on Hollywood Blvd, Sean goes, "Look it's Lil Wayne!" and I turn to see a chick who looked exactly like Lil Wayne. Dreadlocks and all. I had to hold my mouth until she/he passed before absolutely busting a gut. It was so freaking funny. Then, when we were at LACMA Sean goes, "Look its Jason Segel!" and I glance over expecting to see someone that looked like him, but it really WAS him! haha! Now I never know if he's being serious or not. I love celebrity sightings. I love LA.
