Chillin in the park on a Sunday afternoon

After and eventful Saturday night, Sunday morning was slow going to say the least. We ate an amazing, fulfilling breakfast at Hoffs Hut we were on our way to my house to pick up the pups but due to a really bad accident on a street by my house, we had to take an alternative route. We passed by a really cute park and I mentioned that we should bring the dogs there and check it out since I didn't even know it existed.
Upon arriving, we realized its called Butterfly park because it is a Monarch Butterfly sanctuary. How awesome is that? It is actually two parks Gibbs park which has a pretty huge grass area, playground, and community pool. Next to it is the Butterfly sanctuary which has tons of eucalyptus trees where the butterflies play. It was beautiful.
We rolled out the blankie, tied the pups to a short leash, read my gossip magazine and snoozed in the warm sunlight and partial shade. The weather was perfect.
My only irritation is people who allow their dogs to walk the park off leash. To my knowledge this is not a dog park and I found it to be irresponsible of the owners to let their dogs run onto others picnic blankets. Three dogs wandered over to our blankie and disturbed me and the pups while we were resting. I just didn't say anything but looked at them irritated and let Daisy bark her fool head off at their dog. I was tired and anything that was going to come out of my mouth was going to be bitchy as heck so I just shut it.
I love this park though. I want to go back so bad!

My cute little P enjoying the sunshine and watching the birdies.
My reading material and Pnut on lookout.
I love this picture of Daisy

I can't get enough of my Instagram if you can't tell. haha. There is nothing like a chill afternoon in the park. Next time I am taking my Nikon to capture some butterflies. :)
