I made new friends this weekend.
It all started with a “quiet one” at Hennessy’s in Seal Beach. Jelena and I were on a mission to scope out this hot guy she had selected for me a few weeks ago. Low and behold, who do we run into? “The girls” (Brooke, Vanessa, and Chrissie) who had been celebrating a Friday night with happy hour since 4pm…it was 10:30pm sooooo they were in a good mood. Haha.
Come to find out, the hot guy we had planned on scoping out has an unknown girl friend. Whatever. So, we decide to head down to The Irisher, where all the “fun” happens. It’s a small hole in the wall bar, bartenders that are of course, friends with “the girls”, a jukebox, some arcade games, pool, and a small awkward space to dance. A real jem.
I start talking to this douchie guy named, Ankur (pronounced encore). I have no idea why I entertained talking to him for so long but eventually this cute blonde hair blue eyed boy wanders over and joins in conversation. We hit it off immediately. He was a communication major, works with wind turbines, works in operations department (as do I), and is from a small town in Indiana and just moved out here a week ago. I notice right away that he is different than the others and come to find out they are coworkers and the only people he knows. Ankur moves to Washington DC on Monday and Evan goes back to San Jose (he’s Ankurs friend). I give Patrick my number and after almost kicking Evans ass on the side walk on Main Street, we said would hang out soon.
Saturday, after Evan apologized for being a jerk, I drove the boys down to Main Street Huntington for dinner at Fred's.

They wanted to go out after but I was going to head home. Ankur and Evan got caught up hitting on a group of ugly bridesmaids, and Patrick asked me not to leave him with that. Haha so we went and walked around and I took this awesome video of Patrick dancing:
It was fun and I am really looking forward to showing Patrick around and getting to know him better.
