My babe and I ran our first 10k together this weekend!!!! I am so proud of him. That is the farthest he's ever run in his life and we also did it in my fastest time yet! Awesome huh? He didn't get to train as good as we had planned because he got this horrible chest cold about a month ago and finally started antibiotics to try to clear it out. We have been doing a little running but not quite the schedule I had aimed for (well, I have been doing it, but he hasn't). So, I was surprised he accomplished it without any issues. He got a little pale at mile 5 and I was worried but he wanted to push on. We didn't stop and walk at all and although the crowd was larger than ever (5,500) we managed to make our way through the crowd.

The next day I got to babysit little Ivana from 12-4:30pm. Yay!! She loooooves her Auntie Amy. We had so much fun playing, going for a walk in the Bob, and eating peaches. She is getting so big. The afternoon nap time didn't go that great though. She did NOT want to nap. At first it was because she had a dirty diaper and on the 3rd time going into her room I decided just to rock her to sleep in the rocker. I knew we would have much bigger problems if she didn't get that afternoon nap then if I just rocked her to sleep even though that isn't consistent with what they've been doing. I think she was just energized and not use to me. I actually enjoyed rocking her to sleep and petting her eyes until they got heavy and started to shut. It feels good to have some snuggle time with a sweet little baby.
