I went to my first ballet! I went to my first ballet! I went to my first ballet!!!!!!!!!
What an amazing man I have to sit through a ballet just because he knows it has been in my bucket list since I moved here. I am so thankful. It was a beautiful and breath taking show.
We got some dinner at an Italian place in Northridge (dang it I can't remember the name) that we found on yelp.com and it had good reviews and we could be seated right away. We split a mushroom ravioli and fettuccine, shrimp, with a pink sauce paired with a glass of wine. It was delish!! Of course I took pictures of us with our food.
The venue was gorgeous, inside and out!
So grown up doing such grown up things! haha
'bout to hit the club after in this outfit. haha ;-) jk Me and my program during intermission.
A little instagram collage I made of the night.
It really did feel like a "grown up" thing to do. There was a wide range of ages and people but it just had this feeling of "grown up" about it.
It was such a beautiful theater, I don't know what I expected but it was really state of the art. I guess I am use to concert venue theaters and not a realllll theater.
The ballet itself was artistic and traditional, but I was sad there was no live orchestra. Next time, I think I would like to see a more contemporary piece with an orchestra (ha! I'm already saying 'next time). I was so happy to see the remake of Moulin Rouge because it is one of my favorites. It was awesome recognizing some of the pieces of music too.
My favorite quote from Sean regarding the last scene, "Well, if they hadn't let her dance around for 15 minutes at the end after she was shot, she might've had a chance (and not died)." LMAO. Boys.
