Manchester Orchestra played at the Glass House in Pomona. I recently got Sean into them and was super stoked when he wanted to go see them live. The opening bands were actually really, really good. White Denim (a Zeplin, 70's alternative awesome sound) and The Dear Hunter (very similar sound to Manchester and very catchy stuff. I got this picture of The Dear Hunter.
The setlist was great with mostly songs from their sophomore album. I was stoked to hear Pale Black Eye and to hear my favorite line in the song when Andy sings my name. Some people got a small pit going on the last few songs of the show and it cranked back up again with their encore of Virgin. I should've jumped in. I was so close (you can never go wrong with shows at the Glass House) and the pit was riiiight there. I saw a girl pass out randomly too...that was nuts. I'm not sure why I hesitated but I did and now I wish I would've ran over and mashed around with the other crazy fans. Ahhh. Well. Next time.
Songs I'm still waiting to see live: Tony the Tiger, I Can Feel a Hot One, Apprehension, Where have you been? (since I feel in love with it)
