Runnin and cruisin fool!

Sunday, I went on an 8 mile run along Bolsa Chica beach (one of my favorite runs). It was a beautiful day. It was sunny but the breeze was really cold. It was nice to run because you don't overheat or freeze.  1:20 was pretty good for 8 miles. My pace was steady and I felt pretty good but not as strong as some of my others. At mile 6 I was at 1:00:00 exactly so that is right where I want to be. My previous best was like :59.

My view when I set out. Look at that blue sky!

This picture was taken at the top of the bluff which is my favorite stop and a perfect half way point. I always smile ear to ear and get tears in my eyes when I hit this point because I can't believe this is where I live! I always am so thankful for living in HB and getting to have such a beautiful day. While majority of the world is covered in snow, the skies here are clear, the chance of blizzard is none, and I bask in beauty of my reality that I am so thankful I've been blessed with.
A strong body, a strong heart, nice weather...paradise for me!

Monday was a holiday for me and some of my friends, so I decided to take the beach cruiser and head up to Long Beach to go for a ride with my hommies. Round trip ended up being 22 miles! DANG! Beach cruiser with NO gears! I was bookin it. I made it one way (12 miles) in about 40 minutes.
The girls (me and Colette) with their pink cruisers.
The boys (Julian and John) on their flat black cruisers.
Check out the Queen Mary in the background and the Carnival cruise ship.
Two more shots in the sun this time...

Here is my route...

I'm so hardcore. Seriously. I was proud.
Nice way to spend a weekend and a holiday, thats for sure!
