She ran the Long Beach Half Marathon. Isn't this metal beautiful?
Dang, I shoulda ran it just for the metal! haha I am so proud of her. I told her she is finally initiated in the official runners club because she ran her first half marathon on her own. To make it worse, her ipod battery died within the first 5 seconds of the run! But she did it. Sadly, I was at home nursing my Oktoberfest hangover and didn't get up at the crack of dawn to cheer her on but her hubby was there and I went over after to hang with her on the couch and bring her all the recovery items I knew she would need.
I had to sit this half marathon out. Since I did it last year I already qualified for the California Dreamin Series and have to finish the Huntington Beach in February to qualify and get my jacket and metal and that is my priority and will be my next.
I am just so proud of her. Ya Jelena!
