Pirtle's House Warming Party

My brother and Erika had their house warming party on Saturday. I decided to leave Saturday morning instead of the usual Friday night road trip. For some reason I felt Friday night might be too much for me, but although traffic was a breeze Saturday morning, I still struggled...a lot. I had a minor mental breakdown in Selma. I was over it. Over driving everywhere by myself, over road trips, over the heat, over my cars maintenance reminder light, over always having to be the one to drive to see my family, over people driving 65mph...over it. I've been on 3 road trips in 4 weeks and I think I over did it. After pulling my big girl britches on, I was able to make it to Merced by noon.
The party was great. Hot, but great. I have managed to see ALL of my aunts and my grandma and grandpa in the last month! That is awesome and sadly a rarity. I got to take some family pictures and of course some beautiful ones of Kaelyn.

Although, the trip up the central valley sucks, getting to hear her say "Amy" makes it worth it. She woke up on Sunday morning, I was waking up on the couch and she said, "Amy?". Can you believe it!? She was looking for me!
I drove the whole way home with the windows down absolutely BLASTING Mumford and Sons. Nothin like dancing down the central valley, folk music and banjo's playin, headin back over the hill to the beach!
Cheers to next weekend...I plan on doing a whole lotta nothin!
