I am no longer intimidated by a blank canvas

I went to the one night, crash course of acrylic painting last night. I learned a lot. I am inspired. I couldn’t sleep because I had all these ideas running through my head and I can’t wait to put them on canvas, or cardboard, paper, or anything else cool I can find. I need a lot of practice with painting pictures, but by best work was definitely the collage assignment. I knew collages were my thing, and my purpose for taking the course was to learn how to incorporate acrylic paint into collages. I did learn how collage with acrylic paints, and also different mediums to add to the paint to give it different texture. I am going to mix what I learned with my photography skills and create themed collages. I have tons of ideas for my bare walls and even some I’d like to make as gifts. I don’t want to be at work, I want to play with paint and fun stuff. That’s all I want to do now!
Here is the quick one I did last night in 5 minutes…

This doesn't do it justice but for what we were given and the time frame we had to complete it, I am very happy with the outcome. Long Beach has the best parks and recreation programs. I look forward to taking advantage of more of their classes in the future.
