The 5k this morning went great. I found a loop at my house on Thursday that was a very similar run and ran it in 34 mins. I figured with the hills in Manhattan Beach, I would be happy if I did it under 35 but I thought 30 mins would be unrealistic. I checked my watch at the first turn and it was 8:05am and so I figured I crossed the start around 8:03 or 04 and when I crossed the finish line the main clock said 34 something. So I think I did it in about 30-33 mins. I forgot to set my stopwatch on my phone, ditz! The hills were killer! Wow. Quote of the day, "Every uphill incline has a downhill on the other side." Thats what I had to think to keep truckin. It felt good to get out there, see some new sites, represent Clean Energy, and run it as best I could. It was fun.
I don't know why my ass looks like a big balloon in this picture but this is me throwin up a peace sign, about to cross the finish (That little girl musta cheated.)

I am ready to keep the training up because I have a 10K on April 4th and then the San Francisco Half Marathon on July 26th. Cheers to a lifestyle change at New Years that I continue to rock!
