Picture by Unknown, but this is a great shot of the crowd. Minus a moshpit
5 concerts in 5 nights are officially under my belt. I am checking it off my list of To Do’s in my life. Haha. I couldn’t blog yesterday. I spent the whole day in my PJ’s on my couch. I couldn’t do anything. I was so exhausted.
The acoustic set was so phenomenal. I got chills a couple times. All we needed was a campfire and it woulda been perfect. Haha. What an awesome experience to see them play a bunch of songs acoustic. Amazing. I was content after the acoustic show, I couldn’t believe we still had a whole album to see!
Every night somehow managed to get better and better. I can’t pick a favorite night but the final night was definitely the icing on the cake. I was so stoked to hear Neverender again and I really gave it my all. Mashing out in the pit for the encore I almost couldn’t breathe. I have no idea how some of those guys spend song after song in the pit! I was almost doneski after 2! Haha. I gave it my all because who knows when I’ll see them again. It had already been a year since I’ve seen them.
Claudio came out before the set started and he said for the visuals that night they were playing a movie that he named his dog after. Being the stalker that I am I immediately knew what it was. “They’re coming to get you Barbara, they’re coming to get you” Night of the Living Dead from the 60’s, also ironically enough one of my favorites too. I was stoked, and somehow the movie ended at the exact same time as the show….hmmmm, I wonder what a coincidence that is?
After the show we had to do the “Scotty Blaze Ritual” which is to hit up In and Out after a show. We met up with my friend Chris, His sister Corinne, and their friends. The Scotty Blaze Ritual was so clutch. We had a lot of fun chillin outside In and Out in Hollywood until 1:30am. It was a nice ending on our Coheed Adventure. Hopefully we will all meet again. Maybe for Coheed or maybe another band, maybe S.F., maybe L.A., music brings people together.
I am content and thankful.
Me and Scotty Blaze Night 4 in the crowd
“Mother superior,Come catch the rabbit, he runs.
My how've you been?
You're frightened of leaving this truly gone fishing amalgam,
Go fetch your gun.”
“Not anymore, don't cry boy
Not anymore, don't cry boy
Not anymore, don't cry boy
When your sick to the stomach
Just pull out the knife, Oh no.”
“Dig deeper, remember
All you've been and all you've left behind.
Wave goodbye, my dear.
Dig deeper, remember
All you've been and all you've left behind.
Welcome home, my dear.”
“You were the magic, that turned a curse in time.
You were the beauty, that we had to leave behind.
Oh, no. No, no. Bye-bye.”
