My boss and I were sickened by the tomato salmonella outbreak that ensued California June 2008. We are amongst the hundreds, possibly, thousands, that are uncounted yet affected by the outbreak as we did not report our symptoms to the CDC. Instead, we called the corporate office of Islands restaurant to report our illness. We then received free food vouchers and were on our marry way.
Since the initial infestation, we have suffered on a weekly basis from other possible contaminants. We now know we can’t eat Islands fries or hour old pasta. We also know that I am affected exactly one hour after her, due to a longer torso. Without knowledge, I will complain of the exact symptoms she is having exactly 45-60 minutes later.
Beware of vegetables.
They are evil.
