The past few weekends I’ve spent poolside enjoying the amazing weather. I try to make every weekend like a mini vacation and it is pretty easy to do when you have such awesome weather and a big beautiful pool to chill at. Sunday I was out there for a few hours and the pups were very bad and got into a bowl (the beautiful bowl Grandpa made me that I love!) full of foil wrapped chocolate coins that were on the dining room table. They binged on chocolate for awhile until they were full and super thirsty. Daisy was the main culprit. I could tell because her belly was as hard as a rock, full of expensive Holland chocolates. Damn dog. I was so mad. Luckily, they both passed most of it in 24 hours with no accidents in the house. Guess, I gotta hide the chocolate a little better.
This weekend coming up is going to be very eventful. I have two concerts, one on Saturday in Hollywood and one on Sunday in Anaheim. Both are for the same band Dear and the Headlights. Hopefully they will play some of their new stuff that they just finished recording. I am looking forward to it!! Esther and Scotty will be there too, and it is always great to see them.
Before the show on Saturday, I am going to an orientation at a No Kill Animal Shelter in Seal Beach. I want to volunteer 8-16 hours a month and hopefully I like it. It’s right down the street from my work so I don’t have to drive far. I think it would be nice to help out a shelter that provides homes for dogs and cats. I just worry about getting too attached or feeling bad for the animals. That’s why I chose a no kill shelter so at least I will be helping dogs knowing that if they aren’t back next time I am there it is because they went to a nice family. Just don’t tell Pnut and Daisy…they will be jealous. ;)
The holiday I am going to be back in Long Beach at 1900 Ocean hangin with Heather and Marlon, and watching the fireworks over the Queen Mary. It’s so hard to believe this time last year, I started this blog and was just starting my Amy Adventures down here. Crazy.
Hope you all have an awesome 4th of July!
