We spent an awesome Thursday night in Disneyland. That place seriously makes you feel 6 years old again! I loved every second of it and I was completely exhausted by 11pm. There is so much to take in and see!! We went on all my favorite rides and had a blast on the new Buzz Llightyear ride. Interactive rides are awesome! The fireworks show was amazing and I really really enjoyed it.
Friday we woke up early and went to the Warped tour show in Pomona. We got there early to find out that Coheed wasn't going on until 4:30pm so we hung out and checked out some other bands. We saw, Circa Survive, a little bit of Yellowcard, Funeral for a Friend, Killswitch Engage, and then our favorite band Coheed and Cambria to top it off. Killswitch Engage was SICK! The lead singer said he wanted to see the biggest circle and told everyone to spread out and the entire moshpit area turned into the biggest pit I have ever seen. It was cool. Jason got a good video of it. We just observed from a few rows back. We got up right after Killswitch cause Coheed was next. It was a pretty big deal because 1. I haven't seen Coheed live in a year. 2. Jason and I have never been to a show together but have seen to 2 of the same shows and the music video so this was a first since we have officially known each other. 3. Mike the bass guitarist is back (he left for awhile) so it was awesome to see him. 4. They have a new album coming out in October and we knew we would hear at least 1 new song! So, yea, it was a big deal. The show was great. Claudio's hair is soooo much longer now, and he has an awesome new guitar that is all blinged out and rockin. The new song sounded pretty cool and it was great to have Mike back. My heart almost leaped out of my chest when he screamed the FBI line at the end of Everything Evil. It wouldn't have been the same without him. He seemed really happy to be back too. So, we rocked the entire show in the pit. Jason broke his sandals and ended up barefoot and still kept rockin. It has been confirmed that Jason is totally the boy for me (as if I didn't know that prior to seeing coheed with him). I have a tendency to get a little out of control at concerts, I can't sit still, I scream every word at the top of my lungs with one arm in the air rockin to the beat and the other arm ready to push someone when they knock into me, it can get kind of embarrassing. I was so thankful to look over at numerous points in the show at Jason who was doing the exact same thing. We walked away at the end hot, sweaty, dirty, sun burnt, thirsty, exhausted, but on a total Coheed high, smiling and fulfilled. It was great.
Our journey then continued to San Diego. Jason had a Sports information conference there and he was nice enough to let me and the pups tag a long. We stayed at the Marriot Marina and it was absolutely beautiful! Our view over looked the entire marina, Petco park, and Coronado. The babies were so good! People actually said, "What well behaved dogs," which is like the ultimate compliment. Of course there are the jerks that say, "She's a grumpy one" and I want to reply back, "no, she just doesn't like your snot nose brats," but I am forced to refrain. It is amazing how many people stop and ask me what kind of dogs they are, or point and say, "Look at the puppies." They are definitely attention getters. We went on a lot of walks along the Marina, hung out by the pool (which looked like a tropical paradise), and sat at the park on the Marina. I think Pnut lost another 2 pounds. I could actually feel his ribs last night. At one point in the day we were walking and he was so tired he walked over to the shade, sat down, and was like, I am NOT going any farther and Jason carried him the rest of the way. Poor Pnut. It's good for him though.
We went out on Saturday night to the Gas Lamp District and hit up some bars with some of the younger guys from the conference (I say younger cause most of them are not around our age). Jason has a thing for Irish Pubs and we went to a great one called The Field. Awesome place. I loved the chill atmosphere. I have never experienced the downtown nightlife in San Diego and was very impressed with the amount of people! Oh my gosh it was packed. We went down to another bar called The Bitter End. We got our dance and our drink on, and by 1:30 I was ready to go crash in the awesome California King waiting back at the hotel. I was so tired. But, it was a lot of fun. I was glad to be there with Jason. Every time he left me by myself either to go to the bar or bathroom, I got hit on. It was very disturbing. The whole night was a reminder about how I am really over the whole single night life scene.
Anyhow, we got home Sunday evening and watched a movie, swam in my pool, and then took a dip in the Jacuzzi. It was a nice ending to a fun filled weekend.
We plan on chillin next weekend on the beach and watching fireworks over the Queen Mary for the 4th. My mom is coming through on Sunday with Dick and they get to check out my pad, now that it is finally done and decorated. Next week we are going to Vegas for a short trip to see Coheed and Killswitch Engage play at the Rio. It will be a quick turn around but I look forward to seeing both of them perform again.
I wanted to write all this out because it is was a weekend I don't want to forget. I can't get over how awesome my life has evolved in the last few months and I am so content and fulfilled. If I had a dollar for every time I stopped and said, "oh my gosh, this is my life!" this weekend I would be rich enough to do it all over again next weekend. Haha. Good times, fun adventures and great memories.

Good going Amy! So glad you are so happy. I now consider myself an "up and with it" grandma! hahahaha. I can actually view your"blog" and, thanks to you, know what it is. hahahaha. It is a great way to keep in touch. I might just do the same on our trip back to michigan. How do you start a "blog?" Love you lots and say HI to Jason from us.
