A very cool opportunity came my way this month.
Every year (except the two years in a row that Christa cancelled Christmas), we draw names in our Operations Department for a gift exchange. It was the second year in a row that I pulled our bosses name (the VP of our Dept). He has everything and I never know what to get him.
After talking with Sean Wine (my coworker) at Jelena's Christmas Sweater Party, he helped me come up with the BEST IDEA to create a 2012 Clean Energy Station Calendar with photos taken by yours truly.
Fabulous idea right?
So, I set out (that night right after the party to be exact) to get these pictures going. It was going to take some work driving all around the Southern California basin for different stations. I had only two weeks to complete the project and that included printing it.
Sean (my Sean) and I spent one entire Sunday shooting. I planned it all out perfectly (lighting, sunset, etc.) to get it just right. We visited 6 stations and I got enough material to put it together.
I gave it to my boss at our gift exchange and it BLEW HIS MIND! He loved it so much. He ranted on and on about how he's been wanting something like this for years and no one has put one together and how great the photos turned out.
It felt awesome! I nailed it!!!
He went on to show the CMO, COO, and CEO and all of them loved it.
The CEO loved it so much he requested that I have 200 of them printed for our upcoming company meeting in January to give out to all of our employees at our corporate office!!!
Can you believe it!? My little calendar distributed to all 200 of my coworkers with my name and website right across the front. ;-)
I'm gonna be practically famous! haha jk

Yes I got them last week-ish. They look fabulous. Our COO came up to me that day to tell me how much he liked it. :) They will be given out this Friday at our company meeting. I'll let you know how it goes!
