I Run

During the Long Beach half marathon I wrote this blog in my head:

• I run for my mom
• I run for my Kaelyn and (God willing) my future babies
• I run because I can
• I run because I have to 
• I run to eat whatever I want
• I run because God blessed me with this strong body
• I run because I don't want to let my body go to waste
• I run because I don't want to grow old
• I run for my health
• I run to feel accomplished
• I run for my life
• I run because my spirit has to move
• I run because I love the medals
• I run to feel awesome
• I run cause I'm awesome
• I run for you
• I run for me
• I run to inspire

Right after I finished. I'm not going through it...I'm laughing.

Sean actually was able to see me cross the finish. A tough task if you've ever been to one of these. He said he was sooo proud of me and that I was a rock star and I was the most energetic and happiest runner he saw cross the finish. haha. He also took a look around at everyone finishing and thought, "If all these nonathletic people can do it, I could probably do it too." Seed planted. ;-)

This also earned me the prestigious Beach Cities Challenge medal. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Isn't it beautiful too?
