What Laura Says @ The Silverlake Lounge

Esther and I went to the What Laura Says show at The Silverlake Lounge near Hollywood. WLS was the opening band for Dear and the Headlights a few years ago when they played at the Knitting Factory and the Chain Reaction. I took Esther to the show and we immediately fell in love with WLS. Their song "Fashionably Moral" was what did it for us. We were hooked. Luckily, they were also a small band out of Phoenix Arizona and we all became friends. I try to support them when they are in the area. They have a decent following but are still low on the radar so their shows are small and intimate but are full of life and dancing.
I also was hoping to get a little 411 about DATH since they are all homies. I guess Ian got married and now has a baby (blaahhhh) and he and his wife are moving to like Alabama or something that sounds miserable. Ugh so much talent... Gone! BUUuuuT, PJ and some of the WLS guys are working on a side project. Yay! PJ is a great guitarist so I'm sure they'll come up with some good licks. So, there is hope some of the guys will continue to peruse music. That makes me happy.
It was a late night but totally worth it. The guys were appreciative and it was nice to see them again. I told Esther I better get going cause work comes early and she's like, "Yea, tell me about it. I have a 7am C-Section surgery to deliver twins!" haha. She's crazy! All I gotta do is get some trips done and train in a new program. Haha.
Ohhh the things we do for our favorite musicians and shows. :)
