Incubus Private VIP Show

A totally awesome opportunity came up to see Incubus at a live VIP private show in LA on Friday night. Christa's man Greg was working the door and security and said he would be happy to me and whoever I wanted to bring to the "list" so I grabbed Sheets and we rolled up after work.
The show was supposed to be for invited guests only (music industry peeps, friends, family, radio peeps etc) and also was a live webcast to promote their new album that comes out in a few weeks. I met a guy there who was flown out from Texas after winning the tickets off the radio. I'm not gonna lie, when we walked up to a line of at least 40-50 people and Greg walked us right in, I did kind of feel like the shit. I was totally on the list. haha! When does that ever happen? Here is a picture of me and Greg in his security get up.

The show was fabulous. It was so intimate and special. It turns out, they were playing an album a night and I happened to attend the evening they played the album that made me fall in with them way back in October 2001, Make Yourself. I had mono at the time and I was going THROUGH it and put in their album and fell in love. A few weeks later Morning View was released and early 2002 I was seeing them in concert. Almost a decade later, and I still get butterflies at the sight of Brandon Boyd. I still know all the band members names by heart. I've met Brandon once and got Jose's drumstick personally handed to me after their show in Santa Barbara back in 2005. So, I definitely am a fan of a few years now, and so this was a super treat. Jason really enjoyed the show too. Here are some pictures:

 Ahhh Brandon <3
Thats how freaking close I was!

Chris mixin it up!
I can't believe I got to hear this amazing set list. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!

Video's I captured:

The real icing on the cake was when I was able to meet Chris and get a signed original 1 of 1 piece of artwork from him. Greg snatched it up and and gave it to me! Unbeknownst to me at the time, he told Chris he was going to give it to a hot chick. So, in all my blonde naivete, I cruise up to Chris all excited and ask if I can take a picture with him and the artwork like a total nerd. Oh well, he seemed to get a kick out of it. He was a super sweet dude.
And guess what? IT WAS ALL FREE! Hooked up huh? I love it. I had an awesome time and it really was a great addition to my Incubus memories.
