Railroad revival tour

Scotty and I went to the Rail Road Revival Tour in San Pedro on Friday after work. My bosses boss let us out early (my boss was on vacation all week) so that was super clutch. It started a 6 so we needed to get up and out. The tour was definitely unique. It was Old Crow Medicine Show, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and of course our boys Mumford and Sons. I've been listening to a lot of Edward lately and really diggin it. My favorite songs being Janglin, Up from Below and Carries On. The bands are folky, slightly country, a little bit hippy, and a lot of awesome. This was really unlike any show because they are traveling by train and only making 6 stops ports along the southern states.

The tickets were also so unique. This was something else that was different about this tour, they didn't use a traditional venue so they weren't forced to use ticketmaster/live nation or any other online vendor. I am so anti-online-vendor I thought this was amazing and brilliant. I loved paying $55 and knowing that $30 of it wasn't in fees! And they wonder why concert sales are down!? The tickets were beautiful too and each stop had a separate design. VIP tickets got the entire set of 6. Jealous!

Here is me and Scotty and Yoda on the bus that drove us about 50ft. Haha. That's just some creeper kid in the back too.

We were far to the left of the stage but since there were literally, 8,000 sold out tickets I was happy with our spot. I ate this amaZing cookie ice cream thingy but I can't remember what it was called. So dang good!
The show was fun but the crowd was kind of weak. Drunk guy was annoying near us and everyone was just too mellow for my taste. Its hard seeing our boys perform for 8,000 after watching them perform the Henry Fonda where they were only 4 feet away from us. It's bittersweet.

Me and Scotty and his buddies Johnny and Eric in front of the authentic train.

I took this picture and edited it to look cool and retro. We went and got some In & Out after and had fun together.

Side note- I also was about 15 feet away from Jake Gyllenhaal in the VIP. He is a huge, well known, Mumford fan. He is beautiful, let me tell you. He caught my eye and even from where I was standing I could see how magnetic his blue eyes are. Dreamy.

I love celebrity sightings.
