My first paycheck of the year was a surprising $100.00 more! Yay for Social Security cuts and raises! I am so happy. That will definitely help this year.
I also got a really good estimate on my car from a body shop my coworker Gladys referred me to. Basically, the work to repair what I crashed is going to cost $750. However, he said its best just to paint the whole car because it is oxidizing and it is going to look really lame with a nice new bumper, fender, and passenger door and the rest all faded and crappy. So, with his suggestion it would cost me like $1800 total. With the measly insurance money it will be $1300 out of pocket and it will look so good when its done. Since nothing is wrong with the engine and it really does need the body work I think I am going to do it. That way I can drive it for another year or two and sell it in really good physical condition. I doubt I'll get all my money out of it but I think it will definitely help selling it and you never know.
I do need brakes and rotors sometime in the near future. Ugh. Its a lot to think about.
