Hey Boss, how do you like your coffee?

Since I've been car-less, I've been relying on a couple co-workers who live close by for rides to and from work. Yesterday, my buddy Gilbert bailed on me cause his eye doctor appointment went really late and he wasn't going to pick me up from the office until 6:30. My bosses boss (the VP of Operations) offered to give me a lift home. He heads southbound on 405 anyway but it was still a good 5+ miles out of his way.

This morning I got picked up early and had enough time to swing by the Starbucks drive-thru and get my co-workers & bosses boss a latte before work. As I was contemplating what to get my bosses boss, I realize that I have no clue how he likes his coffee. I've been in the kitchen while he pours it, but I've never taken note. I know he likes Mini-Moo's and I'm pretty sure I've seen him drink it black, but I'm not sure. What to do?

Then to top it all off, I think how ironic it is that if I was at the bar getting him an alcoholic beverage, I'd know exactly what he likes, a lemon drop martini...however, coffee completely escapes me. Lemon drop martini...not really what you would expect a bosses boss to drink, I know.

I ended it up playing it safe with a Caramel Mach. Everyone loves those, right?

Next time, maybe I'll play it safe and just bring him a lemon drop. haha!

Follow up: I talked to my bosses boss after I wrote this and he usually likes one half & half Mini Moo, and two sweet & low's. I'm pretty sure the Caramel Mach was a hit because apparently he likes it really sweet. Mission accomplished.
