I ran my fastest 10k today! 59:00 (previously 1:04, 1:06, 1:02) I set out this afternoon to do 4-5 miles. I ran 2.5 and then decided to keep going. My guesstimate was that at the top off the bluff, I would hit the 3 mile mark and there should also be a water fountain. Just as I spotted the water fountain, the runkeeper coach told me I was at mile 3. I ran 3 miles in about 27 minutes which is right on par with my best 5k (26:56) so knew I was trucking. I got really hungry around mile 4-5 and I didn't have any beans or anything which was rough. I need to eat more breakfast on long run mornings and get more beans.
It was a gorgeous day. High of 75, no clouds, nice cool breeze, warm sun, perfect! I am always grinning ear to ear when I hit the bluff and the beach looks so marvelous. Here are some pictures:
I'm soooo ready for the Huntington Beach half marathon in 2 weeks. It's going to be a personal best...I can feel it!
