I spent 6 days in Merced! My longest stay since I left in 2007! It felt good to have a whole week off work, to not have a heavy agenda, and to just spend time with my family. The bonding time with Kaelyn was priceless. I have some videos of how cute she is and you can see how much fun we have playing and hanging out together. She cries for us when we leave and she woke up the next morning after I left and asked, “Where Amy go?” Sweet little Kae.
On Saturday, we headed out to Snelling between rain storms and I took some amazing family portraits. I had a vision in my mind of how I wanted them to come out and I totally nailed it. It felt really good. We had a whole lots of fun shooting them and then we came home to watch all 400+ pictures on my brothers flat screen. Even Kaelyn enjoyed watching herself in pictures on the big screen. I am not going to post all of the pics but here are my favorites and you can link below to the album.

Brett was in town for a few days to hang out and we met up with Becka for a night out. It was pouring rain but we had a fun time. I saw a bunch of people from H.S. again like always. Wednesday is the biggest party night of the year. Di Angelo’s and The Branding Iron are the spot to be because everyone is in town for the holiday. Surprisingly, I just wasn’t feeling like going out again. I had a long drive the next day and with Thanksgiving preparations starting in the morning, I didn’t want to go hit the town the night before. So, I stayed in and watch tv. Haha.
I really enjoyed Thanksgiving at my brothers. His beautiful home is definitely something to be very thankful for and to have everyone gathered there was such a nice treat. Grandma and Grandpa were there and everyone enjoyed the food and time together. I left shortly thereafter and whizzed home in less than 4 and ½ hours. It is amazing how nice the drive can be with no traffic.

I also met up with my cousin Bryan. It had been 3-4 years since my Oma’s funeral that we’ve seen each other. While I was in Merced he came down from Modesto with his girlfriend Jennifer and we all went and ate at La Nita’s (of course). It was so nice seeing him again. He is doing really well and still working at Gallo Winery in Modesto. He also stopped by my house in HB on Friday on his way to San Diego. We got some brunch and hung out at my house. Brenda, Carol, and the girls came by on Friday too. We had a lot of visitors! We went to my favorite yogurt spot Cherry on Top, and had a nice time catching up and hanging out.

Here are a few videos of Kaelyn. In this one we are playing in her room (something she wanted to do constantly) and I love the little squeak she makes after I surprise her in her "house" haha.
In this one you can hear her yelling "AAAAAMMMMYYYYYYY" and then Taylor says, "Do you love Amy?" Kaelyn "Yesshhh". Taylor, "Does Amy love you?" Kaelyn "Yes!"
