Friday night Esther and I went and saw POS at the Troubadour and hung out with Stefon and his buddies after the show. I've never been to a hip hop show and I was VERY impressed. YouTube some of his stuff. His lyics are heavy and his flow is fast paced and wordy. I would have enjoyed more scratching from the DJ. Hip hop shows are awesome. Especially since I am lovin the new Jay-Z album right now. Nothin like some beats and free stylin. They are totally different than my usual rock shows. There was a lot more crowd interaction. I dug it. Seriously, YouTube him.
I spent Saturday watching movies (Duplicity and District 9, District 9 was awesome!) and laying around with the pups and dozing off with them in my arms.
After getting something like 12 hours of sleep, I woke up this morning feeling refreshed. I spent a good portion of the morning cleaning my house. I work hard all week and most of that money goes toward this beautiful little abode, so to spend time here means the world to me. The windows open to the breeze, birds chirping, iPod playing some tunes, fresh cut flowers on the table, candles burning, cupboards full of food, what could be better?
I think I'll spend the rest of the day playing super Mario brothers on the Wii before heading to church.
Yup, that's an Amy weekend for sure!
