Weekend update and fun stuff

This weekend was fun. I got a chance to get out of town to go with Randy to a huge birthday party for his best friend Dave in Santa Clarita. The backyard looked like a park and they had it decked out with music, open bar, catered food, water jump house for the kids, gorgeous swimming pool, and benches and blankets for people to chill on. It was a great time. Towards the end of the night Randy played guitar and sang for everyone (after being asked 500 times if he brought his guitar and I am partially convinced if he had said no he would have been kicked out). His friends were great. They were very welcoming and had such great things to say about him. It was sweet.
The house was located directly behind a big western studio set called Melody Ranch (http://www.melodyranchstudio.com) where they’ve filmed, The Lone Ranger, Wyatt Earp, Gunsmoke, Hopalong Cassidy, Annie Oakley, Rin Tin Tin, The Cisco Kid and Deadwood. I thought my dad would get a total kick out of this. We drove over there and I took a couple pictures:

Where they store extra props. I kinda thought it looked like back home… haha

The front entrance. I wish we could have gone inside but you have to have a private tour.

The only picture I have from the party…. Randy and I after we went to check out the studio.

I also wanted to post this picture I took awhile ago. It was one of the awesomest sunsets I’ve seen. Pictures don’t really do it justice but you get the drift. With Long Beach illuminated by the yellow light and the clear skies enough to see the detail of the city, it was one of the best. We went down there to watch the sunset and eat pizza we had just picked up from my favorite pizza joint and were blown away by how amazing it was.
