Santa Monica

On a whim, Jelena and I decided to run another 10k this weekend in Santa Monica. It was a great course. I steady uphill incline until mile 4 and then it was all downhill. We beat our Seal Beach 10k time by 2 whole minutes!!! It was a beautiful day too. Waking up early, getting to run in a new place, beating your last time...it doesn't get much better than that!

The awesomest thing happened when we went to pick up our race packets on Saturday. We woke up suuuuper early because they were giving away gift cards to Sports Chalet for the first 2,000 people to pick up their packets. You could win anywhere between $5-$100. We figured either way, we could get something, so we went. I pulled out a card and met up with Jelena and flipped my card over to see a number 5 on the back. I asked her what was on the back of her card and wouldn't you know it, 100!!!! She got to spend $100 at Sports Chalet!!! Totally meant to be, right!?!

What a great weekend.
