For the first time in my life, I started counting calories. I was completely against this for 26 years but realized something was seriously wrong with my eating habits. I know it sounds vain, but even though I have been running for about 2 months, I haven’t lost a pound! I got my eye on a goal and you know how I get when I set goal...I don’t stop until I have accomplished it.
So, I got this really awesome application for my iphone called “lose it” and it is the coolest free application I’ve tried in a long time (besides imapmyrun and Twitter). The application has almost every food brand and restaurant under the sun. It is so user friendly and has actually makes counting calories fun! It calculates your age, height, and weight and sets a calorie goal. The first day I was shocked to find out I inhaled 2,900 calories and only burned off 350 in a run. WOW!
My budget consumption is 1,744. Once I shed my winter weight, it’s not back to 2,900 calories a day, but I won’t calculate as much. I will however, be aware and better educated in the world of calories. Who needs Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers when there is an application to help you lose weight and educate you?
Another reason why apple/iphone rocks!
Pictures from the weekend will be posted tonight! :)
