After a week of a bland diet, Daisy is officially back on dog food. The web site http://www.dogdiarrhea.org/ came in handy. The first mistake I made was feeding her after the first episode. It sounds horrible to not feed them (especially because she had an appetite) but they really shouldn’t eat for the first 12 hours. That would have saved me a lot of trouble. As soon as I started giving her cottage cheese and rice it immediately helped. I cooked chicken on day 2 and by day 5 I started incorporating her food back into the mix. What a pain! I’ve never been so happy to see a turd come out of my dog. And she is happy she is allowed to sleep on the bed again…

I don’t know if you remember months ago I complained of a “splinter” in my foot. Well, 2 misdiagnoses and 4 trips to the doctor, my foot is finally better! It was a painful and grueling process. I probably grossed you out enough with the dog feces talk so I’ll just keep this one short and sweet and say that my foot is 100% back to normal! Thank goodness for healthy feet and solid stool.
