Blah blah update

I have a feeling this is going to be a rambling blog about nothing so I am going to try to break it down into subjects so I don’t stray too far off my point, or lack thereof.

Baby got back-
Somewhere between amazing restaurants and free lunches, I managed to put on 10 pounds. You probably won’t notice unless you look at pictures of me a year ago and then look at me now. Needless to say, I have enjoyed every single last amazing bite of food I have consumed I just have not been working off what I am putting in, thus leading to a muffin top that has developed on my waist. I finally got motivated this weekend and decided to put exercising back on the top of my priority list, take my $250.00 exercise incentive from work at the end of the quarter, and spend it all on a shopping spree in January. Yippeee!

Halloween Costume Malfunction-
Thanks to my oversized muffin top, I now don’t fit into my Halloween costume I bought on Ebay. This weekend I have to create a muffin top cover using fabric and a belt. I am actually kind of excited about the creative project because the costume needs more fabric anyway. I don’t know why they make women’s adult costumes like lingerie. I am considering being a ghost or Moses or something that requires a sheet or potato sack. Haha! Just kidding, I think my muffin top cover will suffice.

Evil Splinter-
I have an evil splinter or something in my foot that I think is infected. That’s one reason I haven’t been working out this past month. I tried to get it out and I just made it worse. It’s been throbbing for awhile now, I guess I should probably go to the doctor.

Cabo Criminal-
The Cabo Criminal struck again a few weeks ago and hit up another unsuspecting victim and might have even been spotted before the crime took place. I met a guy who lives around the corner and has a little dog named Bailey that Daisy and Pnut like to roll with. He said Bailey woke him up at 3am one morning (he usually gets up at 4) so he took him out and saw a man walking around cars in and out of parking spots in front of his house. He watched from a distance behind some brush, and then he saw a woman emerge from the parking garage wearing big boots and hoop earrings. They met up in the driveway and walked out the pedestrian gate. He thinks they were scoping the car(s) they wanted to hit up and then went to get their getaway car to come back for the burglary. He thought it was suspicious but didn’t call the cops until he came home from work and his neighbor said her car was broken into sometime that morning around 5am or 6am (close to the same time I suspected my car was violated). He gave the detectives the descriptions and that’s all he knows. Hopefully this will help them crack the case of the Cabo Criminal.

Alex’s Bar-
I went to this super rad bar on Saturday called Alex’s Bar in Long Beach. My friend Jelena and a group of her friends went to celebrate a birthday and I tagged along for the fun. The place was so cool. They had a live band playing 80’s music and instead of a lead singer, people sing karaoke! Talk about a winning combination. This bar was also used in the movie Tenacious D: The pick of Destiny which I sadly haven’t seen. We had a great time.

Early in the night

A little later that night haha

For the love of Music-
Including the 80’s band and church, I saw 4 live shows last week, 3 of which were 3 nights in a row. The first concert was at the Troubadour on Tuesday which I wrote about. The second was Anberlin, Straylight Run, and The Scary Kids Scaring Kids at the Glasshouse on Friday. It was a really great show. I was pleasantly surprised by the sold out crowd and the bands. To sell out a show at the Glasshouse isn’t hard, but to rock the socks of the Glasshouse isn’t easily done. They met my expectations and then some! (Here video of my favorite song from that night. Just turn the volume down the music quality is bad but you can tell its a rockin show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8sS0kToyMY) Saturday was the 80’s band and finally enjoying the band at church on Sunday I realized, I sure have been seeing a whole lotta live shows. I guess it is just preparation for the marathon of 5 nights, 5 shows coming up November 4th-8th. All those shows in November might just kill me, not because of the late nights and loss of voice, but my little heart might leap right out of my chest in excitement, adoration, and joy. More on that in a few weeks.

Now, I have to prepare for Halloween, my Mom and Cousin Jean’s arrival, Marathon Concerts, and all the fun in-between.

thanks for all the updates! I guess you have been pretty busy - now get to the doctor and get that splinter out before you cause major problems! Can't dance - can't play - big problem :)
