I got the best news today!! I got a call this afternoon from the receptionist at my eye doctor’s office and she said because my prescription is so high she billed my insurance for my lens as a “medical necessity” and they accepted it! So, she is going to bill them for the right lens as well so I will have a whole new pair of hard contacts next week and all I will have to pay is my $10 co-pay! This is awesome news because I had to pay over a hundred bucks yesterday at the appointment and without insurance I would have had to pay over $350. (Yea, being unique doesn’t come at a cheap price). I am so relieved and excited for a brand new pair. It’s about time.
