Violated

My car was broken into early Sunday morning. It was parked in my carport directly under my condo and it was locked. I went to the pig roast on Saturday (see pics below) and I grabbed up my beach bag, towel, beach chair, etc, when I got home, but totally forgot about my purse hidden behind the passenger seat. After lying around the house all day, watching movies and doing laundry, I get a call around 5:30pm that my Citi Bank Platinum Visa has suspicious fraudulent charges. I ran down to my car where my purse was supposed to be and found the passenger side window broken, the seat in the forward position and glass everywhere!! All 3 credit cards had fraudulent charges. 4 gas stations, $400.00 at Albertsons, and an attempt to buy electronics at Best Buy (that was what triggered Citibank to cut off the card) in just a matter of hours. They have my driver’s license, my favorite new wallet, all my gift cards, my blackberry cell phone for work, my favorite dragonfly mirror compact, tripod (yes only Amy keeps a freakin tripod in her purse), my favorite lotion, the cardkey for the doors at work, locker key for my gym locker, and tons of other little things that mean nothing to money hungry thieves but mean a lot to me. I made a police report and the crime scene investigators got a good hand print on the side of my car. No other cars were hit in my complex and the cops thought it was probably someone who lives there that was checking the cars every night until some idiot like me slipped up and left something unlocked or forgot their purse. Dang it, I never leave my purse in the car! Anyway, I just got the window repaired ($200.00 bucks out of my savings account while everything is frozen was a whole other issue) and I think all of the money will be returned to me after its all figured out. Until then I have nothing! The only good thing is that my iphone was sleeping safely next to me and the pups while the perpetrator was casing the joint. I hope those jerks bought a ton of alcohol and had a great time getting hammered on my dime! Karma will come back around and they will get what they got coming. I’ll keep you updated on the investigation.

That is just terrible news. Elmer and I had our truck broke into in Phoenix so I know how you feel. ONe can only hope that karma works quickly on the bums. Hope they catch 'em.
