I fell in love last weekend. I fell head over heels in love with my condo. I finally finished unpacking the last box (or just organized the last junk box but whatever) and are officially done with stupid moving tasks. Now, I get to move onto the fun projects like refinishing the planters and planting flowers etc. Even though my neighbor upstairs is irritating me to no end, it doesn’t change my love for it at all. I’ve always been crazy about it but now it officially feels like home. The transition is over and now I am enjoying it.
I realized over the past few days that my vision of my life down here is totally complete. 2 years and 2 months have gone by since I decided to flee dusty old Merced. I have daydreamed hours and days about my escape and how it would all pan out, and it hit me the last few days that it’s all done! I am here and I am settled in my home that I will be in for like the next 20 years. ;)
My one year anniversary for my job is Wednesday June 11th and I love my job more now than ever. I really didn’t anticipate falling in love with natural gas or working to save our planet, but I am in this for the long haul and I really have big hopes and dreams for my company and my position here.
This last year has flown by. The personal growth I have felt in myself has been the biggest spurt in a loooong time. I finally feel a sense of stability in my little world. It’s been a long road through college, moving 400 miles, finding a place to live, and now it is finally done. No doubt life will still throw me some curveballs at least I can say that 99.9% of my world is finally balanced out. Geeze, I sure hope it stays like this for awhile.
