Update including: 13.1 miles in the rain, A new home, Dating, and My Job

I think its time for an update:

13.1 Miles, uphill, in the rain
!
Last weekend I ran the Huntington Beach Half Marathon with my Mom, Dick, and his Godson Mitch. It was miserable. We were all soaking wet by the time we even got the starting line, and squished and squashed, for 13.1 miles. It was so disappointing because I did the run a few weeks ago and it was so gorgeous and I couldn’t wait to share it with my Mom and Dick. Oh well, maybe next year. We feel like total studs for running it though. Probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I hate being wet, and I hate running…I don’t know what I was thinking. I was only 15 minutes slower due to the rain so my time wasn’t too bad. It sure was nice to have them here, in my hood, with my peeps. Mom got to see my church and my buddies that I love. She really liked it and I can’t wait to bring her back to another service.

A New Home
While they were here, we also got a chance to discuss Dick’s awesome idea to purchase some real estate in the Long Beach area for me to rent!! Can you believe it!? My lease is up in May and so we are going to start looking for 1 or 2 bedroom condos to purchase. I am so excited to do some house hunting with an awesome Real Estate agent, Lisa and that I get to move somewhere stable, safe, and comfortable that we own! It’s such a great idea. I am keeping my radius pretty small around my job in Seal Beach so somewhere between Long Beach and Huntington Beach. Most likely we will find something in Huntington Beach because decent neighbor hoods and condo complexes are hard to come by in Long Beach. I just can’t wait to start looking!! Hopefully Lisa will contact me soon. Pnut and Daisy are excited.

Dating
So, I started online dating to meet some new guys and see what it was like. It’s going pretty good. I don’t know if I will do it much longer but I think I have met a few guys that are worth spending time with and getting to know. Don’t worry, I have been very careful about it and it just takes common sense which you know I have. We’ll see what happens.

My Job
Since my coworkers have all quit, it definitely has been very quiet around here. My job duties have picked up immensely and my patience by 4pm (sometimes by noon) are usually completely shot! I am learning a ton (knowledge is power!) and I am just trying to take it one day at a time. They are looking for help, and hopefully we will have someone for Customer Service hired soon. I still love it and look forward to brighter days ahead when I am back to doing what I was hired to do. One thing that I have learned is that my boss Christa really has my back. Throughout everything she has really stood by me and that means so much to me. It is really nice to feel that, and know we are an awesome team and going to dominate LNG one day.

Other than that I am still lovin So Cal! I never ever doubt this is exactly where I am meant to be. I have never felt so content with life and I’m pretty sure the pups would say the same.
