“Now they know you’re just a boy, so grow up and be a man.” –Mother Superior, Coheed and Cambria
I have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a 25 year old man. Boys don’t grow up until at least 50, and still even then, it is questionable. I always knew that women/girls matured faster then boys but I didn’t understand the magnitude until very recently. I just don’t see why it’s so hard for boys to mature into men. I mean there are only a few small things guys need in order to take that step. Here are my examples:
1. Being a strong leader and role model but also knowing when to be humble and show some humility (words that 9 out of 10 males don’t even know the definition of).
2. Stability. Nothing more attractive then a stable guy.
3. Respect for yourself and the women and people around you.
4. Morals.
5. Ethics and making ethical decisions.
6. Well educated and knowledgeable.
7. Social maturity and contribution to society (and not just in the taxes that are automatically taken out of your paychecks).
8. Good communication and articulate with words.
9. Courageous, this goes along with being a strong leader.
10. Loving and romantic…this one should be moved up to number 1.
I don’t know, I just think dudes get this for soooooo long and it seems so simple to me. Anyhow, this is strictly my observation and conclusion about boys and the lack of 25 year old men in the world.
