1984

I finished 1984 by George Orwell last night. I read it for two and a half hours straight until I finished it. It was interesting but depressing. I am not sure what I am going to read next but I am thinking about The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson:

It’s about the Worlds Fair in the 1800’s and a serial killer who built a hotel similar to the Winchester mystery house and murdered a ton of people who stayed there. It is nonfiction and I haven’t read a nonfiction in years. So that should be cool. I still have short stories of Poe to read too. Geeze, I read some pretty creepy stuff huh? Haha! Having no cable and reading books instead is awesome! I love being a nerd!

I wouldn't call it being a nerd amy, just enlargeing your mind in other venues. Some, I agree, seem a little weird, but reading is really a way to open up the world. I just read a book from Tiff called Lucky. It is about a college girl getting raped and how she had to deal with it and how it changed her life. It was a true story written by the girl herself, now many years older. Not a book I thought I would even read and in some parts I did skip over them, but the way it was written was amazing.
Keep on reading, nothing good on the TV anyway. Love you lots
