If you're not a little kid, you have to be drunk

Friday night:
Murphy’s Irish Pub in Belmont Shores SUCKS! Don’t go there. Last call was at 11:30pm and they kicked us out at 12:00am. I thought, “You can’t go wrong with an Irish pub!” but I was wrong. We had fun getting full on Guinness and then riding the passport bus back home.

Medieval Times:
Our group of 12 met up at Medieval Times on Saturday night for Andrea and Josh’s Birthday Party. They are dating and their birthdays are 1 day apart, so they had a combined party. Jason put it the best, “If you aren’t a little kid, you have to be drunk,” to have fun at Medieval Times. Luckily, they supply mass quantities of mixed drinks and beer in fun Medieval Times souvenir cups. The acting is a little cheesy, but the horses were awesome! Of course out of the whole show, I get a kick out of the animals. The food was good and we had fun cheering on our yellow knight who was balding. Haha. Here are some pics:

Gotta love the crowns

The best picture by far

After dinner we all went to an AWEOME cowboy bar called Montana’s. Who would have thought that I would come to Los Angeles County and find the greatest Cowboy bar EVER!?! I thought you would find a place like that in Oakdale or something. Anyhow, I was in total disbelief at the amount of people dancing. There had to be 400-500 people there and the circular dance floor that was the size of an ice skating rink was constantly packed with couples doing the exact same dance. I was in awe. I have now been inspired to learn all of the dances and go back and cowboy dance my little heart out. Of course our group dissipated and Jason and I stayed until the last call. Fun times. I love cowboy bars.

CHURCH:
Sunday Jason and I finally tried our first church in Long Beach. They were the only one I found online to hold an alternative service in the evenings. It was pretty cool. I liked the Senior Pastor and I thought his sermon was motivating and informative. They seem like a fun church with a lot of kids our age with fun stuff going on. It’s about 15-20 minutes away from my house but I think we will give it another try next week. There is another church Jason heard about in Costa Mesa that is supposed to have a huge youth following so we might check that one out too. I have a few more on my list to try, till then I pray that the right one comes along and we meet a lot of cool Christians our age to start hangin with. I think it’s funny that I just followed up my story about going to a cowboy bar with going to Church. Haha.

Divorce can be fun!:
And now I will follow that up with a story about my friends divorce party! Right on Amy! My really good friend Esther that I met at the Coheed and Cambria music video well over a year ago had a little “get together” on Monday night. I didn’t know the occasion until I arrived at the restaurant that it was a celebration of her divorce being finalized. haha. We went to an amazing Italian restaurant called L’Opera in downtown Long Beach. I rode the bus up there and we had an amazing dinner!! I even had Crème Brule for dessert. I pretty much ate my entire week’s grocery allowance in one meal but that’s why I work so hard right? I hadn’t met any of her friends and they ended up being a really nice group of girls. Some doctors (Esther is an OBGYN and delivers high risk pregnancies), a post production editor, a student, and myself. Good times. It was really nice.

"You should get divorced more often!"

Blah blah:
Back to the normal work week. I plan on writing up a blog about my job now that I have been there a month and stuff. Same old during the week, hangin with the pups, reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck because I never finished it when I started it in 2003, watchin movies, talkin to Jason, the usual. All good things.
